phew wee....i am sitting on the floor typing...so this might not be a very long post...but wanted you all to know that we are here and in one piece.
after the crazy car episode, we happily got on the road friday morning. we hit some really bad rain the last five miles or so...but other than that the drive was fine. the animals did well...both the four legged and two legged versions..ha ha.
once we arrived we unloaded the vans and i went to the grocery to pick up some essentials. we spent a restless night in our new surroundings.
we got up and no more than an hour later the cable guy showed up and then the big truck with all of our stuff.
the unloading took all day long. hubby went to work first thing...so the big girls and i managed the entire event. because this home is over 600 sq.feet less than the other house...i had big decisions to make. most of our things went into the garage and crawl space. the movers were not thrilled with the location of most things..but what can you do??? while unloading...i got the best surprise ever...nana and papa drive right up...wow...how great was that??? oh boy, i was so surprised i didn't know what to say...they made the day go so much better as they helped unpack my kitchen stuff and clean tables and things.
that night, they took me to kmart and builders square and we picked up some essentials...like....garbage can, guest towels...(you know, because nana has to be sure i have guest towels) hose, sprinkler...trash bags, shelves...oh geeze...so much...
the big girls went to the hotel and swam and went to dinner while hubby and i continued to pack and try and help mr. k get adjusted. the poor little man has been shifted about so much in the last week that he didn't know what end was what.
...we also got the bad news that our potential buyers have changed their minds. this is a double whammy,...we left home thinking that things were on the upswing finally for the bteam...but alas...looking for a buyer continues.
today....up to greet nana and papa...hung out for a bit. said goodbye again and then got dressed for church. mr k did wonderful ....which i anticipated would not be such a good mass..but he did just fine with his spider man stuff (papa to the rescue)
it was kind of funny, there is definitly a southern flair to the music and general flow of the mass. fr. j asked the people, 'are there any visitors, any good news...of course hubby was proud to raise his hand and say that he finally had his family with him,,,fr. j said how great that was and then added 'we continue to pray for the sale of the house in o.' i was so touched that he knew the story..
we sang the Our Father..which brought tears to my eyes because that is the way i was raised...and i haven't had a guitar mass since i became a mother...so i really will like that.
i got calls from BFR, JH and AZ....how wonderful it was to hear their voices...oh boy...it made my heart stop....i have such great great friends.
we ate lunch,,,,we put the wee ones to bed and the big girls and i went off to the ice cream social at school. that was nice...we stayed for a bit and then...the wonderlust hit us and we set off for the mall....we got our pictures taken in the photo booth, we got R some school shoes and both girls got new headbands....i got some hand soap for the all important 'guests'...aren't you proud nana?? now, i just need to put a basket together that can stay on the bathroom counter...
tonight, we had dinner at our dining room table,,,we all sat and prayed together...oh what a blessing...i could tell that we all were able to just breath a little better.
after dinner, the sprinkler went on...mr k and r went out to run, and V and daddy moved and unpacked boxes...they worked hard and are very tired.
i'm tired to, and i'll bet your eyes are a bit weary...so i'll sign off for now....
will have to get a new digital camera because mine is broken...so pics will be forthcoming...
love to you all......
