A new week

the pressure is on to be creative here...i understand that more folks than i thought are reading...i'll do my best to be witty and not so dry..
we've started a new week...starting off with a bang or should i say smoke..
the dryer burnt up last night...the wires were sparking and smoking when the fuse tripped...scary to be sure...but hubby to the rescue and he determined what was wrong...have already schedule service for wed. good thing i was so 'martha' and got most of my things done by the time it went out.
this morning hubby's car overheated so it is scheduled for service this afternoon. i'm glad it is going in...seeing as he and v will be driving back to home this friday...i hate the thought of something going wrong on the road...
baby k was up twice last night....i think she is getting cold...her little arms and legs were ice cubes when i picked her up from the crib. there is an a/c vent right over her crib...will have to do a better job of bundling her up...gee..hard to believe you need feety jammies in this heat...
volleyball starts today for V and R will just remain after school to do homework while the big girls practice. it is times like this when i miss our home the most. the ease of walking home or just running up the street to pick up from practice made life so very easy....
no more...the drive here to school is 10 minutes..we will deal however..
the house is more in order as we continued to unbox and move things to the crawl space.
i was able to talk to a couple friends this weekend and that felt good. i was able to get through the conversations without tears....
mass was interesting yesterday...they do not do the Responsorial Psalms as written in the missilette. very strange - they use this time to sing different words. that shook me up of course and i cried...hard enough that i had to go to the bathroom to compose myself...it kind of reminded me of our trip to disney last summer when we had a water accident at a very fine restaurant and i had to excuse myself to go cry in the bathroom....

big boy goes to preschool tomorrow...can't wait for that...i got him a spiderman lunch box in the hopes that will make separation easier in the morning.

still have to get the girls uniforms in order. lands end sent us all the wrong lenghts and styles. i have to return those and figure out where to get the correct items...

ok, our heat index is 110 degrees today. i've heard that it rained back home....send that this way would you!!!

oh, need to let you know of an observation i've had. the women here carry those quilted purses and backpacks...that must be the thing around here. i did think they were on their way out....me and kate continue to lug around....

i'll sign off for now as i'm not feeling too creative...
love to all.
