we all know..what we expect of our children we must model at home. there are many many times when i have failed miserably that. i will continue to fail a time or two, but i think, we model good things more than we think. it is in the everyday moments that we have an opportunity to show love and compassion at home.
once we picked up the big girls..i was excited to hear about their days of course ..and also excited to show them my new camera and the pictures of mr k's first day. V was in the back seat and while she was playing with the camera...i took the opportunity to talk to R about her day. there are many times when one of the girls are in the front seat, i will reach over and hold their hands or just touch their arms. this started way back before there were rules about putting kids in the back seat...as a new mom i would put the baby carrier in the front and then hold their feet or hands as i drove. ANYWAY...
as R and i are talking quietly i hear V say..ah...you should see this,,,big boy k is holding baby k's hand and she quickly snapped a picture...she took another one to experiment withe the zoom.
when we went to look at the pictures at a read light...i was so surprised to see that not only were the two little ones holding hands...us two big girls were to.
its a cool thing a mothers love isn't it??? but it is even a cooler thing when you get see YOURSELF in action.
so glad V had the camera.
Love to you all.
