eating real food

anyone that is a mom knows that part of the fun of having a one year old is watching them eat food they've never had before. i can remember being a first time mom, and watching my mother give our first daughter something cold....i was horrified and my mother just laughed at the funny face the baby made. after i had my 'oh so shocked first time mother moment' i of course joined in the fun. i mean, heck, how do they develop a pallet if you don't give them different food to experiment with.

today, baby k had her first pickle. you can see below the cute little puckered up face she made.

R, big man and baby k and i went to Steak and Shake for dinner since daddy and V were at a volleyball game. we had a very nice dinner. an older couple was so impressed with us that the husband gave big guy a quarter to spend at the candy machine...WOW i felt like i'd won the lottery....
