the theatre calls

Friday R had a lead role in a classroom play. The third grade finished reading Castle In The Attic and decided to do a short stage adaptation of the book. Our miss R auditioned and won a lead role. see pictures below of her in action. speaking of acting and my miss R, on Tuesday she will be auditioning for a role in the local theater's production of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. She has taken acting classes the last year back home and we are hopeful that she will be cast in this production. If so, this would be her first real 'stage' role. For her audition, she has to sing You Are My Sunshine, do a dance and do a reading.
The school fall break began yesterday and the girls are off school for two weeks. We'll be heading home this Thursday afternoon. Hubby will follow on Friday and then we will head back here on Wed. we have four birthdays to celebrate and we will be plenty busy. Mr K's third/upshorin, Miss R's 10th, Miss K's first and then there is hubby who will be ....well, do i dare say/???

Today, we got up, did some short grocery shopping and then i went to work. Hubby had a leg to deliver this morning, but when he got home he loaded up the kids and headed to the river to fish. seemed like everyone had a good time. i admire his ability to be so adventurous with all four kids in tow. I mean, i brave the mall ok, but running water and big rocks and sharp fishing hooks...4-get it!! Later this evening, we had our friends the C's over. Had a nice visit. They will be heading home up north this week as well. I really think half this town vacates this time of year. heard several folks say they were going to Disney!!! hum, will have to revisit this next fall with our friends the B's...

Tomorrow, Mass and then we are heading down to TN to see P and T. We will have cake for Miss K as she will be turning one tomorrow! Can't believe it...she is a year old...how funny to think that this time last year i had no idea that i'd be sitting in Baba's car with three towels tucked into my pants in less than 12 hours...ha!!
