Oh,,,,what a momentous day for my big guy. In just a blink of an eye he went from baby boy to little boy. The planning of this day took i think his entire life. Our Baba had told us long ago that we would just have to celebrate a Upshorin for our son. So, even with our relocation, the planning continued, menus were set, barber secured, and family arrangements made. We began with the actual hair cutting. Mr. K sat on 'his stool' (really, this is his stool...it sits in Baba's kitchen and from the time this boy could crawl..he would take his seat/throne) Daddy sat in front of him to distract him. We began with an explanation of the purpose of the hair cutting including the honey!! From there, daddy cut the first curl off. and then grandparents and sisters and anyone else who wanted to cut. the curls were tied with ribbon that baba had prepared for such a need. Everyone was just SHOCKED at how well Mr. K sat. He sat through the entire ordeal. He was showing everyone what a good boy he can be.!

When it was all over..we were amazed at how super he looked. I still miss the curls...I will miss running my fingers through them...

We were all hungry by the time Mr. P was done cutting Mr. K's hair so we went in to make our plates. Here you will see a picture of the wonderful meal Baba had prepared. Chicken catchatori, bread salad, egg salad and crackers (my personal favorite) and noodles. We enjoyed pecan and pumpkin pie for desert. Then of course came the fun....Mr. K got to open his presents....I can tell you all that every single one of the gifts has been played with!! Mr. K especially enjoyed getting to play with Z and S and the Shep boys!! I do think this was the highlight of his day!!! He got to play on his old climber and run around in his old yard....bitter sweet to watch him.... I want to thank everyone who came to spend the afternoon with us. Thank you to Baba and Papi for sharing such a wonderful celebration of this important milestone. The day was PERFECT!!
