Mr. K is thankful for MARY (aunt) and our turkey has landed

My father's flight from NJ to Cinci was delayed and he missed his conection into Nashville. He wound up getting a seat on the last flight out last night. Yeah!
I was on my way to Nashville when i found out so i just went and hung out with Phil and Tina. we went to the mall and wandered around a bit. looked at Santa Clause (mini lu not too impressed) stopped at the food court and got some greek 'food' and then dropped tina off at home and got to the airport by 9 and we were here back at the house by 10:30. I did NOT however get out and go into the terminal. Mini Lu had fallen asleep in the van and had a long night out of her routine....we'll just have to go in when grandpa flys out.
so far mini lu is making his visit a bit rough. she has been up since 5 and has been crying for the most part. she has a runny nose poor thing...her face is all red and her eyes are puffy and she keep hollaring for her 'DA'..(he has gone to work already, he had a leg to finish)..so funny how this child is the one that totally obsesses over her father!! she puts as much emphasis on calling douglas as the other children do when they call for me. and do you know....when mini lu says (in her own little way of course) 'jump daddy'....he turns to her and says 'how high baby k...how high???' too cute!!!
it has been my observation that fathers usually get ONE child that they 'call their own' and not that they love the others any less . and it has also been my experience that THIS child is the one that gets the BEST CAR!!
the big plans today are visits to the eye doctor! the big girls and i go see the eye doc at 2 - 3:30. it is my intention to leave grandpa and mr k to their own devises while we are gone...
we have tentative plans to go to the Opry Mills Hotel to see the holiday lights - but i'm not sure i want to make that drive three days in a row....
