she called.
i was nicer than i thought i would be.
doug had me do the talking - we had prepared questions ahead of time.
PET scan results:
NO lymph nodes lit up AMEN AMEN AMEN although she was convinced a week ago that they would, as a matter of fact she said she expected them 'all to light up'
Hip (sacrum) did light up.
i further questioned her that the sacrum 'lit up' the same way the lymph nodes lit up on the CT of the chest. She said yes.
I let her know that i did not care for the radiologist - felt he was dismissive and ready to put my man in the ground! she said 'ok' and was quiet for a bit.
NO lights in the HEAD anywhere! so, our guy has an odd right ear drum and headaches...( my parents of course would say those headaches are caused by me)ha!
i asked again about surgery!!! i mean, IF there is no lymph node involvement AND there is no metastasizing of the bone! why the heck can't they rip that SOB out of there. she said, first he would a very specific kind of chemo..BUT they could then re-evaluate for surgery!!!
at the end of the conversation she let me know that she is Presenting him at a Tumor Conference that she is going to next week!
ok: Prayers from now until i post next.
1, strength to work!
2, peace for friends and family
3, NO HIP Lights!!!! This is the biggy!!!
4, we pray for the folks at the Tumor Conference that one of them will have the info to make my husband well
if that happens,,,I promise I"LL NEVER MAKE FUN OF HIS TOOLS AGAIN.
i'm negotiating with God now, i'd better stop.

i tell you i'll post after we know the results of the HIP MRI but i have no idea what time that will be!!

find another raiologist if you do like him....trusting and having a rapor with them is very important. I am sorry you are going thru all of these up and downs. be determined in finding your answers to your questions.

Hey I agree your aunt M if you have a doctor you do not care for it is time to get a new one I know that is easier said than done, but you will need to like and TRUST each and every doctor you guys have to deal with.I am glad to here the lymph nodes did not light up I hope and pray the hip does not light up I am praying for you and your family and waiting to read your next post.
