santa on overdirve!!

What a fabulous day!!!
Got the green light from hubby that i could 'ask' santa for my very own ipod for Christmas.
put the baby to bed.
got big boy dressed and off to Target we went ...
mommy is now the proud owner of a nano...
(and yes, it is well past midnight and i'm up downloading Phil Collins and Casting Crowns)
as i was pulling in the drive way my cell phone rings...and guess who it is...
The K family on their way to TX....saying that they are going to be in the area around supper time and wondered what we were doing!!
i almost peed my pants and said Heck yeah...'come on down'..
i had already planned dinner for Fr. Jerry so whats a few more???
immediatly came into the house and held christmas presents hostgage as i bribed the big girls to clean.
we had already planned on doing our christmas tonight...so adding a little extra 'pressure' to it was all this mom needed to get things moving!!
hence, the earlier post from R about HER ipod...
anyway...
about 5 in come the K family to many hugs and kisses!
about 6 here comes Fr. Jerry
we eat and be merry and enjoy eachothers company
K's head out as they need to make Memphis at a reasonable hour
Fr. Jerry proceeds to get out his notebook and asks us all what we think christmas homily should be about...
i won't tell you what we suggested...but we did do a bit of talking...poor guy...i don't think he knew what he was getting himself into with the B team!! we were all over the place with ideas....

we opened presents.

V's didn't (outfit that is)
Mr. K's Leapster is not working..have to exchange
mini lu poor dear...she played with the boxes and blocks...
next year honey...i'm sure Santa will bring you one of those kitchens.
cuz next year she be totally in on the game!!!
sat down to get R's ipod running...after an hour i got it done.
now i'm sitting here trying to sync mine.
it is times like this when i really want my old friend from work Ryan....he is the guy that took Douglas sailing a couple years ago??? well anyway..he is a total 'geek squad member'...but too cute to be called a Geek in real life...i swear this guy can make anything computer related work...and IF i had his phone number i would have called him an hour ago...
but, as the ol' tortous taught us....slow and steady wins the race and here i sit working on my own ipod...
R's is all uploaded and ready for her ride back home.
i got myself a 15 buck card....quickly figgured out how that can get you only so far!! i mean, i hit Amy Grants albums (can we still use that word?), then i hit Phil and then Genesis, Casting Crowns and i was done....but, it sure beats spending more than 15 bucks on a single album right???
oh, gotta tell you what the big girls got us!!

starbucks for coffe after (still blaming you EB)
pizza card for babysitter!!
and rebecca says to me...you can use it any night as long as it is a friday!! ha!!!
douglas and i laughed...the last movie we saw together was The Passion...i think i was pregnant with Mr. K and i KNOW for sure that i took a sleeve of Thin Mints with me!!
will begin looking at the movie listings to see what is out there!!
really should be getting to bed...
didn't do any packing for the wee ones or hubby and i!
big girls all done!!
i have to think that by the time you are reading this..we'll be on the road!!
and i'll be jamming to Ripple by Genensis!! yeahoooo!!!!!
