We're leaving...in a mini-van...

In a little over 24 hours we will be embarking on our first ever full family vacation. Way back in the fall we tossed around the idea of gathering everyone together for an Easter Vacation in a location other than 'home'. Since we wouldn't be in Columbus and since both the grandmothers had moved on to make way for us...it allowed us to get a bit creative.

We decided to look into a vacation home at Lake Cumberland...it isn't half way between here and home...but the southern location helps to ensure a little better weather. (although it looks like rain so far)

We set about making plans for aprox. 15 people to come together.
Each family has been assigned a 'Kitchen Day' and is therefore in charge of planning/preparing/presenting meals for the day.
Each family had a standard packing list to ensure that we are stocked with TP and Paper plates.
I think everyone has had fun planning their meals - i know that i have..

We so far have plans for golf, Hot tubbing, hiking, fishing and possibly Drive in movie. I have a secret weapon list of words for Scrabble and have packed a puzzle that folks can work on throughout the week (lets hope i can find an out of the way place for it)

Last night we started packing bins for the trip. The dog can tell that something is up....she knows that we are packing....she will be vacationing at a local kennel that has indoor/outdoor kennels....I picked up my Molson at teh beer dock because where we are going is 'dry'.

Today we pick up Grandpa W from the airport and do the final shopping for fresh food.
Tomorrow we will celebrate mass with our BG family and then get on the road.
Check in is at 4pm.

To all my readers...i will be 'off the grid' and unable to post.
I want to wish you a Blessed Holy Week....and Easter.....
i will be thinking of all of you !!!!

The pilot is packed from stem to stern. Only enough room left for Bert, Victoria and me.

I too wish all B Team Stalkers and their families a very very Blessed Easter.

Hugs & Kisses all Around.
