our 10 minuts are up....

we had been interviewed by the local paper last month...we had thought the article would run that week that they came to take pictures...but Ike came and the financial crisis came and we were 'holdable'. newspaper lingo!!
so, after a while i just quit looking for it, knowing full well that my mother would call me first thing in the morning when/if the article ran.
that call came today. on my way out the door to take girls to school....
i instantly felt like i was the emperor without his clothes. i felt very exposed..or over exposed....even.....
i had a class A headache by the time i had dropped mr.k off....i had begun my anxiety over my second/first Rosary group. last weeks had been 'iked' but gave me a chance at a dry run. anyway, i had that moment of: what if no one comes....what if no one likes me...ha!! just like when you had a party in junior high school....you were never really SURE if kids would come....so, i had moments like that this morning as well as my naked truth.....
but, my Blessed Mother saved me by gathering five wonderful women together here.
we kept within our time frame and met the objectives that we had set.
it was all good.

during this time..hubby was at the dentist. he is having some jaw pain...kind of like TMJish...jawbone issues can be a side effect of the Zometa that he took, so this type of pain needs to be addressed. this morning he had three fillings redone, was fitted for a mouth guard type thingy (he grinds his teeth sometimes) and then was referred to an oral surgeon to do some dx on the jaw pain. we see this surgeon tomorrow at 11:30...

after picking up Mr. K we went to see a guy about a hot tub. the ability to immerse in hot water will be very therapeutic to hubby's body. the company gave us a wonderful deal and delivered it by suppertime. we are now waiting on an electrician to come do a sub panel so we can plug'r in and fill'r up....all very exciting!!! i can't wait for the two of us to sit out there at night..with candles....glass of wine...maybe some cheese....so romantic!!!

we also got to see some more folks from Engaged Encounter...saw DD yesterday and then the H's came out this evening and LB will be out tomorrow.

gotta tell you....i'm going to attempt my first mid level plumbing job. EB and i picked up a cub hoard/sink top for the masterbdrm. very cute....very much in keeping with the bath..white and spa like...anyway...the current sink needs pulled off the wall and then i have to cut the pipe..install a shut-off valve and then install some new parts....the guy at Lowes drew a nice diagram and talked to hubby over the phone. the guy at lowes thinks that this will be a good midlevel project.

as we were checking out... i turned to EB and said...this is exactly why men like my husband hates shows on HGTV...according to TV...i should be able to complete this job in a half hour...with commercials...i won't run into any trouble and this sink will pop right off the tile..., i won't flood the first floor and i'll get the cold water on the proper side. the crank workshop lives!!!!!!!!
