chemo today

good morning all...
hubby was given green light to continue trial and will be getting his third round (really 9th) of chemo late morning.
both the wee ones are showing signs of colds so i will keep them home and ask that doulgas put the doctor on speaker phone when he is in with him. we will drop him off and then pick him up when he is done. (not to worry-we have done this b4....)
the steroids that i so love love love when hubby takes didn't seem to do the trick this time. hubby was not so 'alive' on them.
he is a bit sore the last couple days as he took a spill in the back room and did a face plant into the couch...his knees and shoulder took the brunt of the fall so he is sore.

kids all off tomorrow and friend susie and i along with the help of some 8th graders will be using the school kitchen to bake our corn bread and put together the chili for sunday's party!! (susie is one of those women that know how to put together large meals....she has worked the big meals at church for years...she is good at math..:) yummy yummy

did i tell you all that i snaked a sink drain the other day???with some coaching from doug i got it done and water flowin'...i was so good that i went and bought my own sink snake....figure...we got a lot of hair in this house...not the first time and i'm sure not the last that i'll need to perform such a task...well, my handy man training continues as last night i got a lesson in fluorescent lighting....the guest bathroom bulbs are blinking...you know that blinking that drives you crazy if you are the first one to arrive at the office and you're trying to get the coffee on while feeling like you are in the movies or something???? well, our wonderful angels left a box of bulbs in teh garage...i thought they would work in teh bathroom...did you know that fluorescent light fixtures need 'starters'...damn things popped out and i had a heck of a time getting them repositioned....never did get those new bulbs to work...wound up swearing a bluestreak (in my head) and put the old blinkers back...
will ask the angles on sunday what to do!!
