"McCain's pro-life record isn't totally spotless: He did vote in favor of expanding federal funding of embryonic stem-cell research."
"In 2000, McCain begged Bush to amend language in the GOP platform, which calls for a human-life amendment banning all abortions and provides no exceptions for rape, incest, or danger to the life of the mother."
"Yes, there is no question about it, John McCain says he is pro-life.
He says it any time he is asked.
He says he is 100 percent pro-life.
But, as I have been explaining throughout this campaign season in my new book, "None of the Above: Why 2008 Is the Year to Cast the Ultimate Protest Vote," one should never take too seriously the mere words of an ambitious politician seeking the highest office in the land. Track record is all-important.
Would a pro-lifer who believes life begins at conception favor expansion of federally funded embryonic stem cell research?
Would a pro-lifer vote to confirm for a lifetime appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court the likes of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the former political director of the American Civil Liberties Union, and Steven Breyer, both ardent Roe v. Wade supporters?
Would a pro-lifer have nothing but kind words about Sandra Day O'Connor at her retirement when she was the swing vote against overturning Roe v. Wade and consistently supported abortion on demand in her rulings?
Would a pro-lifer even consider naming a vice presidential running mate who is not pro-life – given this person would have the inside track to be the next Republican nominee?
Would a pro-lifer want to take out the pro-life plank from the GOP platform?
Would a pro-lifer be visibly uncomfortable talking about abortion – until his second run for the presidency?
Would a pro-lifer flip-flop as McCain did on whether he would seek the overturn of Roe v. Wade?
Would a pro-lifer say if his daughter wanted an abortion, he'd have a family conference and leave decision up to her?
To characterize McCain as pro-life demeans the word."

Now he is voting for it and anyway Sarah is going to be an advocate for special needs.
Does anyone else think Todd Palin is cute?
I am going vote for McCain because Todd Palin is cute!
Yes, Todd is hot!
Finally, something political that we can all agree on! (Todd)
You go girlfriend! Again health care, jobs the housing crisis and the war! Those are issues that effect everyday Americans! go obama! rose
Obama voted not to send more money to fund OUR troops. John McCain's son and Sarah Palin's son may pay for HIS "mistake" and that was Obama's choice!
He has no probems letting others sons and daughters pay for the USA and His MISTAKE!
Let's limit the amount of abortions he says!
How about giving our troops the FUNDING they need and DESERVE: so that they may have the choice to come home and use the Health Care for their pre existing conditions caused by the WAR!
Why bad thing happen to good people?
Way to go Jenifer! Ohio made NATIONAL NEWS IN A NEGATIVE WAY!!!
For all those incredibly naive people out there who think BO will solve the world's problems...

Went on blog to check on how Douglas is fairing, but still don't know...
Be careful about vandalism with knocking down signs; might seem fun but it's criminal.
Are you Catholic but in a donkey's coat?
Catholic ways...
Marriage = Man & Woman.
True tolerance = love the person but hate the sin, not accept the sins of others and call it "normal".
Pro-life no matter the situation. The WAR on babies is killing more than any war in history.
Faith, even in hard times like now. The dollar is tight, but have faith that God is with us. "God is with us all the time: all the time God is with us".
Love of God is first, Love of neighbor is all the rest. Respect for Life from conception to natural death is the beginning of love for your neighbor.
I Love the Casino Bill. Vote Yes. Look what it has done for the schools in the states around us. Ohio Schools need all the help that we can give them!
Yes, I know gambling can cause addictions but it can help the economy, create jobs within Ohio. The best part is Indiana & MICHIGAN would rather us not vote for this. WHY DO YOU THINK?
This blog is addiction for many should we vote No for Blogs!
