is it monday yet???

busy weekend for sure! and boy oh boy was i happy to see monday!!

both girls played really good volleyball this weekend!! i was grateful to be able to see some of each of their games...

sleep over in the field was so much fun! i did not sleep over of course...cuz i'm the 'non camping' girl scout leader!!!! i don't like tents...i don't like peeing on the ground (unless i'm at a field party in Buffalo) i definitely don't like cooking over an open fire!!! just ain't my gig!! so...we hung out for quite a while and the kids got to run around with flashlights and eat smores!! really a very cool night!! keep up the good work Home and School!!

hubby and all of the children and i attended the Oktoberfest at church. This is a new tradition for us (first one was last year) and of course i'm diggin' the german'ish flip....we are known as 'the irish' on paper but it seems our Fr. Lumpe is a kraut (just like me) and wants to share a little liebe with everyone! so, we had some fun practicing my german...ein bier bitte and a prost or two with my Lu.

and then sunday....our first Jesus Jam of the year....our parish has been chosen to host the Jesus Jam ministries for the year. this is a new permanent ministry in our area. the Jesus Jam's are a special outreach to middle/highschool students and as such include some very cool music and presentations. Next months Jesus Jam is hosting a well known speaker...click play below to check him out...
he's not for the faint at heart!! but i think his approach is absolutely on target!!



needless to say...the kids get pretty fired up about their faith!! a good thing to be at that age eh???

I am now in the throws of pulling my house back together for our open house this sunday!!! i spent a good bit of time at Hobby Lobby yesterday (any our son did wonderful) and was driving nails into the wall well into the night last night...and have gotten started again! I've officially chosen the theme of my kitchen - Roosters!! if you show up on sunday i'll tell you the story behind that!!

in the meantime...hubby has been scheduled to go to see the doc on thursday....we are waiting on a call back to know if he will get his chemo drip....a double edged sword...i love love love it when he takes his steroids in prep for the chemo...it is like i get my guy totally back and present for 48 hours!!!

ta ta folks...gotta find my broom!!
