i know that is what a bunch of us parents thought at last nights Open House at the High school. How, in a blink of an eye our daughters are ready for high school...then driving...then college visits.......
there's a song on the country music station here called "You're gonna miss this" that i just can't get through w/o weeping....it speaks to our hearts and tells us to cherish These Moments...cuz....we are most certainly going to miss them...
ms. V and i toured around the high school that she will be attending. she was able to visit the art room (of course), talk to the swim coach, and talk to the Geology teacher and play in the Chem lab. she also lurked in the Latin teacher's room...
it is the same school that hubby and i both attended. his picture is up there on the wall somewhere....so are my aunt and uncle....we ran into the drama director whom hubby had spent some time with. (you know that from previous posts i know) she said to us that hubby had been the star of her first production.
best of all i think it put a little bit of hope in that little broken heart of my teenager.
*****************************
Friday AM hubby is going in for a visit with the nurse practitioner to get his labs checked and take a look-see. we'll be getting a script for a wheelchair as well.
having some BBQ with some girlfriends...so excited about that...cuz i haven't had any yet....yum yum....
special prayers are offered for the little baby down the street that seems to be taking its own route into this world!! ask for courage and pain tolerance as the baby is 'turned'.
see you all!!

That would be Trace Adkins (who was in Cols. last night)-Your Gonna Miss This
S-I am SO happy you are giving Country a chance! They typically do sing about the REAL stuff. AND most of it your kids can listen to. WOW, shocking!
Can we have an update on Doug?
Thank you to the blogger who gave us the name of Tracy Adkins. This reminds me of Cats in the Cradle and I can not remeber who sings that.
S bring this song to prayer group as we all love country!
Glad to hear everything is ok.
Mary Did you Know is by Kenny Rodgers! There is a beautiful children's book that you have to have for the wee ones and the big girls!
Do you have it?
