I have to chuckle at people that want to make this country "great"...I thought it already was! We have our problems, but so minute in comparison...so, Obama wants to take the greatest country in the world, and change it. Makes sense to me! Hang on to your hats, boys and girls...the storm is coming!
I believe this country will do great things! I am so excited today and my kids are excited! they even woke up early to find out who won. This is a great day for America just think in 1834 African Americans were just being released from Slavery! and today in 2008 we have an African American elected as president!
(P.S. I hear Snoop dog and JZ will be part of his cabinet) Go Obama!

I pray that over the next four years (or longer….) you find something to feel good about. Your negativity is bringing the rest of us down. Remember the reason for this blog.
First of all, the ones of us "that get it" are already "down"...second, the reason for this blog is for S to write her thoughts, and for us to respond...personally, I love this blog and get so much enjoyment out of it. And, I think it's great that S gives us a voice and let's us write how WE feel...it's therapy for us all! Now, for the "negativity" comment...when the bottom falls out, and the morals and values of MY great country are so corrupt, I think your tone will be a little different. Sorry to bring you down! God forgive them, for they know not what they do...
Thank you, God, for sending Your Son to die to our sins. Should we worry about locus, frogs, and the Angel of Death? Please pray for our country that we will be a country to be proud of, because last night showed that there are so many that turned away from God. God bless Obama and Biden that they may see the light and do right.
Yes, S writes this blog for all of us. S is the one that writes this blog and not only for the reason we all care about too. There is more than one blogger that shares their opinion and the other way around.

The strength of your faith and obedience to God are evident. Thank you for your message. That was very inspiring to me. I needed that today.
I think S enjoys all of our discussions! While I do not agree with some of the posts, I still enjoy reading and pondering. For those of you who get so upset, lighten up! We're all friends!
Here are my questions:
Why are all Obama's records sealed? What's he hiding?
Obama's top economic advisers made 90 million in six years running Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac-why couldn't they bail themselves out Heck, a bail out would be nice for everyone, but who is going to pay for it? I guess we will just have to keep working hard to pay our student loans, mortgage, healthy food, medical, and tuition the old fashioned way.
The reason for the failure is partly Clinton's-housing for everyone, even if you can't afford it. He forced these loans on the banks to promote equality. It's only fair, right?
Biden makes millions of dollars yet he only gave 3300 to charity one year. He doesn't spread the wealth very well. He doesn't want to spend/share his money--YOUR MONEY is fine though!! Every time that man opens his mouth he sticks his gigantic foot in it.
If you give everyone a college education you take the value of having a college education away.
It's not the government's job to give everyone everything on the governments own terms. Can't you see how the quality of our system will go down? I don't know how people are so blind to this.
Obama wants to cut military funds, and I'm afraid he will pull out too early. Freedom is not free!
And last, how can a nation rise if it allows mothers to murder their own children. This is something I will never understand. How can any Christian be pro choice when one of the TEN COMMANDMENTS is THY SHALL NOT KILL!!!!!!!!! Yes, I know republicans haven't been able to change this situation even though they have been in power for 8 years now. Do we just give up on these babies that have no voice? NO WE DON'T
I don't think any president will please everyone, but Obama scares me. I could go on and on and I have the right to. That's what makes this country so great--we can disagree and not be punished(for now anyway).
I think the morale is lessening and, and we are coming into the "anything goes" and "do what makes you feel good" era. We just have to keep praying that some good will come of this in the end.

and the housing market boom happened under Bush. It started after 9/11 when interest rates dropped and it was a sellers market. yes there are some people that are not finanacially stable to own a home. But the current administration is against big government so there was not alot of regulation. I think everyone deserves a chance to go to college. I received financial aid and school loans. And i paid back my loans. and If I had a family member fighting for freedom I sure as heck would want them home sooner than later! I respect all the men and women fighting for us but I rather have them home safe with their families. I am a pro-choice Catholic woman. It is not up to the president to teach my children about religion and morales. It is up to me and my husband to set an example for them. I will teach my son and daughter about values and I hope I am lucky enough that my duaghter and son will never have to worry about abortion or getting pregnant at 16. And my children are lucky that they go to a top rated school have food on the table and a family that loves them. I feel sorry for the children that have parents that cant take care of them. or the children that have parents that are doing the best they can but need help from the govenment to get by! and please dont judge because we all one day could need a helping hand from the government! and lets all rise up and make sure we take responsibilty for our own family morales and maybe take the time to help a child or family that needs help! rose
can i just add...that there was a mistaken assumption that i was talking about a college education....i actually was NOT talking about a college education...i'm referring to the trades....teaching of the trades has been reduced significanly...
I heard the biden comment on a show and should have checked the info before posting it-I stand corrected.
I do believe that all people need help at some point, but we already have lots of programs available. I'm not saying to get rid of them all. I had a baby at 17 and got a medical card for one year to cover expenses. Fortunately, my husband got a job with health insurance while he worked full time and went to college full time. It can be done but is is very hard--we know because we lived it.
My nephew is in Iraq right now and he believes there is a job to be done.
I don't know why I feel such a strong conviction to be pro-life. It is such a big issue for me--just can't get over that one. Obama has so many issues I think are not good for the U.S. We just have different opinions.
