breaking into your own home is kind of...naughty...

Fantastik nite!!!!

first i need to tell you all how happy happy happy i am with 'the nanny'.
she's been working for us for a couple weeks now...and the days are going just fine....and last night was her first night....in her employment contract i promised her two nights per month of work.....on those nights she is welcome (encouraged to stay the night in the guest room)...that way i'm not worried about getting home because she has to drive back home...anyway....kids just love her....i'm telling you...i got glowing reports this morning.....it sounds like there was a little practical joking going on with the teen ager (ALWAYS) good for the teenage soul....much romping about with wee ones...hide and seek....movie watching.....picking up and everything a mom could ask....what peace of mind i'm getting these days....

now...lets just hope the customers come'th so i can keep her!!! hint hint...wink wink....all you out there with those summer clothes in bags...:)

i signed up for volunteer hours at the annual Special People in Catholic Education dinner. the event includes traditional irish food, music, dancing and of course drinking...:) it was packed...tons of young people..i don't recall the crowd being so young in the past...so that was a bonus.....the killians ran out twice....lucky for our parish we have a resident 'beer man'. food was yummy....corned beef is a favorite of mine.....red potatoes another one.....i always have a wee sense of pride when watching Ms. V's best friend perform her irish step dancing...(especially now that they are almost highschoolers....i remember when...)good friends are such a special/important part of ones life......i'm so thrilled that my daughter has found herself such a great gal-pal. my job last night was to seat people and then bus tables. i was happy to do that...i get a kick out of talking to everyone and making nice. and then of course there are folks i haven't seen in over a year..so i was happy to have a chance to talk to catch up.

after dinner, after presentations, after dancing....it was time to head out for some dancing. JH and i had already planned to go along with friend MIMI....MIMI boged out and didn't show but we picked up the shep along the way.....first we checked out Martini Park..a very very kewl place....happy to get the tip from one of the moms last night..however....the live band...although great...just wasn't playin' the dance tunes i've been jonesin for. so, around the corner to Fado's...not b/c we thought they would be playind dance tunes...but b/c there was a HUGE tent outside and tons and tons of people lingering about. could hear a live band....figured we'd do that and then head over to Alumni...Short Arm Sheri just not willing to pay $10 so that everyone can see how cute i am...so....
we headed on over to Alumni.

now, you'll recall the white man can't dance video from the other day...not much has changed....last night there was a white guy with velcro shoes on taking the dance floor. and then these chicks......chicks with rolls jumpin out of their t-shirts.....i may be a fuddy duddy...but tight tshirts and chub just don't make the top ten....

it took a while for the dance floor to get hopping...but...when the request was made for some 70-80's music were made good on ...there was no stopping me....

Brick House
Disco Inferno
We are Family
some Janet Jackson
some Madonna
throw in some Mary J and i was happy as a clam.....

a bald guy asked me to dance....
so i did...to We Are Family
so i knew he was old...like me..

i wish i could have taken a picture of his face when he started asking 'those' questions.
come here often....no
do you have kids....yes
how many....four

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh pause pause pause pause...that's nice...
exit stage right!!!! ha!
naw...he finished the dance..but didn't ask again....

was funny...cuz....i would have had the same reaction....ha!
stella's finding her groove!!!!

got home at a reasonable hour..
front door locked...
had to break into my own house.....

felt so...so....dangerous.....
then of course good thing Mr. Shep wasn't driving by....could have gotten one in the ol'fanny....

)))))))))))))))))))))

today Uncle Ric and Mr. K have a date ..mr. k is in need of some shoes...so i'm sending them to stride rite and then the two of them will find something fun to do i'm sure...alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5313620607769172642" />

nana is bringing over meatloaf for supper....

i'm going to throw open the windows and get my groove on with a broom....

what else....oh yeah...our GS troop sold over 40 boxes at our booth sale.....they did a great job dancing around like chicken's with their heads chopped off (my daughters description)...they had fun...weather good....

)))))))))))))))))))))))

also....Lu belle is asking for her sue sue.....perhaps friday is too long...sue sue....
