my porch and little worf baby

it has been a great week!
the weather finally cracked and the sun came out yesterday.
the porch is coming along famously
here is a quick shot of it.
from my new camera..so happy to have that.

on funny thing that Lu does is she dips her head in the toilet...i know...gross....the bowl has always had clean water in it..we don't encourage it...but you know ....sometimes she just gets there b4 we can stop her...( i think she is imitaing me wash my hair in the sink)
anyway, after supper while we were cleaning up dishes...she came out with this super fantastic hair do.....
we laughed right away and thought she looked just like worf from Star Trek...


some other good news:
i booked our vacation for July.
we had intended to head down to Bowling Green for vacation...but schedules are just not allowing that to happen it seems. the Bteam is busy up until school starts down there.....we'll just have to go down in the fall.....
anyway....

so i had been lurking around the internet...searching different options...researching 'family' favorite reviews...
found myself going back to one spot.
Club Med in Florida = Sandpiper.
through the end of this month they have a 50% family pack deal.
quite wonderful
all food
all activities (do have a fee for Lu however)
all golf
all tennis
(ok, yeah, like we're 'that' type of family but we might play)
all drinks - including foo foo
two rooms
six people
four nights
$2100...

does not include airfare...so i'm searching flights into West Palm Beach...

i am so tickled...
one thing that i always regretted doing and something that i always admired my Bud for was a annual family vacation. it always seemed to me if we just planned a little bit and then saved a little bit each month or so we would be able to pull off a small/but memorable vacation each year.
there are of course many other things that i regret...
but...the few summers that we did go to Kiawah or the Lake Cumberland...those moments just really put deep pits in the brain....
ya know what i mean????

so....i've got to get ahold of my friend Dawn down in west palm beach....it would be great to see her....she sang in our wedding.....friend from college....

on other fronts...my weight loss/training has hit a plateau so i have now begun documenting each and every little morsel that goes into my mouth...it gets entered into this database and then gets printed out for Ben the Trainer...
