girls had a game the other night...i'm just loving seeing my family a couple times a week...sure is nice...plus...my aunty mary brought be a bag of nutter butter cookies...remember....that trouble i have with putting things in my mouth....those little buggers just jumped right in there....and then yeserday my aunty sue took me for mexican....nummy nummy.....

anyway,,,, a gal at the game who is also the gal who made our Daddy Bears...snapped some pictures of our V playing. she looks good doesn't she????

speaking of She....
She will be Confirmed this weekend!
I know how much she wishes her father could be here.....
she has chosen the name St. Francis of Assisi...none of us are surprised....she is an animal/outdoor kind of gal!!
i am hoping to grill out..however it does not appear that the weather will cooperate....we are a few days out yet.....

i am also spending some time thinking about a young mom i know....who has returned to work this week after having a generous amount of time home with her first born son. her mama was able to go stay at their house for this first week.....working and being a mom is a big job...i always liked working...i enjoyed the grown up time...i really loved working with customers and i really liked the phone business....that whole corporate deal bolstered my ego....and it allowed me to contribute to the world in a way that felt good.

the other day i found this letter laying on the floor in the back room...i have no idea how/who/where it had been unearthed...but it brought a smile to my face and i felt a brief moment with my husband.....
it is a letter that he left in my suitcase when i left for my first big business trip. i had recently been promoted to regional management and i needed to attend a huge sales meeting in Nashville, TN. ms. R was only a couple months old.....and ms. v was a very precocious two year old...anyway, i remember feeling very fortunate that i had a husband that was perfectly willing AND capable of taking care of the kids....he always amazed me actually at just how good and relaxed he was at it....he was very much the fun parent!!
