i have to laugh that i actually got a picture of this....
look closely at the facial expression....see....feeel....taste....the disdain my daughter has for me....(mothers in general i suppose)
so so so funny.....

tonight was Color Purple night at the theater. It was V's turn again.
we had supper at O'Charlies and then onto the Ohio Theater.
our supper was pretty good....
we sat at the bar so we could get in..and get out..
V ordered a virgin drink....too cool!!
i waited until now to have a beer...so here i sit with a Heiny....

the play was fabulous...really really good.
score outrageously wonderful and the voices dead on.
Color Purple is a great story....and i'm not just saying that b/c my Oprah has made it so successful...:)

This week is a busy one as usual.
LAX games
Volleyball conditioning began
me planning a girls night out for friday.
me getting my hair cut Finally....Mimi is very pleased....but insists i need some color....hmmmmmmmmm
is my grey that bad.....

speaking of bad....
i'm publicly admitting to haven broken one of Stalker Hel's martini glasses that continue to sit in a basket in my kitchen. she so generously lent me glasses and shakers for the purse party....and ..in classic me style...i've let them linger around my house....and.....i go and drop a can of green beans in the basket....
I will replace!! (if you come out friday night tee hee)

This weekend i will celebrate a birthday and Mothers Day. i laugh and tell people that i know what it is like to be born on Christmas. Last year i am almost certain that i spent the entire day in bed....i got breakfast in bed and then dinner in bed. i am very good at being a crib monster...when the opportunity presents itself....wonder if my darling big girls will give me a day in bed again????? hint hint.wink wink....i use a coffee mug that the kids and douglas decorated for me almost everyday. it has his handwriting on it as well as the kids....he tells me that there is no better wife or mother....when i read that some mornings i can still hear his voice...as if he were saying it to me himself.

this will be my first Mother's Day without him.
i wouldn't be celebrating this holiday without having had him in my life.

yep....a good long day in bed....now ...that'll do the trick!!
