when i grow up...

i wanna look just like Pink on the Grammy's.

man, was she amazing or what??
now i can't say i'm in love with the whole almost naked look..Jay-Lo started that didn't she....
BUT...surely,,,if this ol' bod looked like that i'd be tromping around in something similar...even if only in my own house!!

i really felt the Grammy's were the best i'd seen in years. it was put together well in that the genres flowed nicely from one to the other...artists played nicely together in that they shared the stage...the only thing i was a bit disappointed in was Taylor Swift's voice...i'm wondering if her ear piece was off or something..because she sounded so 'off'...

i've been out of my running shoes for almost a week now...i've had a nagging hip pain that decided to explode last thurs...pain was so intense that i wanted to just throw up...reading up on this type of injury and following our leader's advice has put me out for 7 days. i did walk our prescribed 3.1 yesterday without much trouble although i have some tightening in the upper thigh....
i treated myself to some new running shoes yesterday so i'm hopeful that they will bring some relief..as well as the Nike running helper that talks in your ear to tell you what your pace is and how many calories you've burned...my hope with that is that i'll be a more consistent runner...
did i just call myself a runner...

of course the thing i need to be doing is getting a better strenght training program...when Ben the Trainer moved away...i lost my motivation for squats and free weights...if i get back on that band waggon..i know my hip pain would subsdide quickly....

as Fr. Corapi said yesterday....you just gotta step up to the plate and do it.

hm....at what point did my mind quit using the trotter word???

victoria and i were joking that she could record some special announcements on it to say
'hurry up chubby'
'no, keep going....that donut isn't gone yet'
'if you finish another mile you can have a beer when you get home'

i continue to be amazed at what we humans are capable of convincing ourselves of...
