Family Time

looks like my peach is ready for another Card Night. for the past few months my family has traded off hosting Card Night. Both the girls really like learning how to play new games and enjoy the hanging out part.
it pays homage to my grandmother who used to say to me
' i can't believe you don't know how to play cards'...'how are you and douglas going to have fun at parties if you don't play cards?'
well GG..i'm trying to make sure that my daughters will be able to hold their own on dates:):) i do know how to play Rummy and Gin. My father and i spent many an hour playing when i was younger...but my girls are learning to play Euchar. It seems to me that is the game that a gal needs to know.

the weather was simply gorgeous yesterday.
was able to open up the windows and blow some funk out..
today is supposed to another wonderful day.

too bad it hasn't warmed up yet in the morning..
we're due for six miles this morning and it is just at freezing...
i got myself a new pair of compression shorts to wear yesterday
but alas..i'll have to wear them under some pants this morning.

saw Alice In Wonderland this past weekend!
i was stuck seeing it in 3D (i hate those glasses...)but enjoyed the movie very much.
also celebrated dear friend Mimi's birthday by going to Genji Japanese Steak House and out for drinks and dancing.

Financial Aid paperwork is due this week for the kids school....
ugh...
i did manage to get my taxes completed in time...so it should be quick...
just gotta sit myself down to fill in all the blanks.

R's LAX practice season began yesterday. they are shy two girls and need to do 'some serious recruitment' so says the coach.
V's been practicing with her new Club the past couple weeks and will have a two week break from swimming before beginning the Spring session. She's happy with this new club...and i'm happy with the fact that it is super duper close to home!!
Lu should be starting dance class soon..i just need to get over there and pay..
Mr. K karate class is going well...started learning how to 'hit' last week..YIKES!!

got my official invitation to my 25th Highs School Renuion in Buffalo!!!
WOW....
I am really that old???
I plan on going at this point.
haven't paid yet...
but as it gets closer i'm sure my old girlfreinds will start showing up in the RSVP list...or at least i hope so!!
