i think my big girl has a new nickname...'vbar'....
it started this fall during volleyball i think.
the name Victoria is just 'too long' apparently and it came to pass that her teammates began calling her vbar.
it was clear the other night at her swim team banquet when she got up to receive her awards when the other kids called out VBAR!!!!
and so it begins...:)
my big girl earned her letter for swimming and was voted by the team as Female Rookie of the Year!!!
here she is with her coach Tony Phillips...he has coached her every year since she began swimming in the 1st grade. (except for our year in BG) not only is he the high school swim team coach but he is also our summer team swim coach (and pool manager)..i imagine it is kind of neat for him to watch these kids grow up over the years. this year he has three seniors in the same boat....it is neat for us parent as well...cuz i can remember watching these seniors during the summer as young kids and thinking to myself..gee wiz...my kids will be that big some day....Congrats to Natalie/Amanda and Danny!! it will be fun to watch you guys grow into adults now as you head off for college...
we are all thrilled for our Victoria!! or should i say VBAR..

CONGRATS VBAR!!!! It has been a lot of longggggg hours, swimming when you'd rather be doing something else, early or late practices, going out in freezing weather with wet hair.....but look at what you have accomplished!!! We're so very very proud. Love
