had my interview this evening at Cracker Barrel. Felt good to interview...but was anxious about not having a resume. i just haven't had the time to put it back together...its been 5 years,,,wasn't necessary for this type of work anyway. the manager was very friendly and seemed to 'like' me. my limited hours don't necessarily fit their needs however. of course, they need folks that can commit to every weekend and a couple nights a week. i couldn't do that - hubby and i would be two ships passing in the night. she said she could use me late september as holiday help. she was encouraging however, said that she has 'core' staff to hire and then she'll see where she can fit me in. so...we'll see.
i left message at the hotel with the manager - she did not call back
spoke to the manager at the fine gift store and she will be talking to the owner tomorrow..i hope she calls me...that is the job i'd really like to have...
there is a job fair tomorrow at the mall, baby k and i will run over and see what is cookin'.
someones gotta need an ol'mom with a big smile!! right?? :)

didn't hear from JH..so don't know how her interview went.
BFR also had interview...there is a hiring freeze where she went...so it is wait and see for her.
other than those tidbits...was a quiet day. both wee ones napped well..
it is still bloody hot...will be in the 100's the rest of the week..

oh, jh..i'm sorry...it didn't seem like something you were 'into' anyway...i know how much you 'need to be in the thick of things - making life better for those less fortunate'....tons of people need your help and the Lord will be sure to put you where you can do the most!!
