ok, i have to make a funny here.
like father like son. we have always poked fun at doug's dad always having a camera around his neck. well, as we all grow to learn..we are sometimes more like our parents than we thought.
anyway. douglas recently got a small digital camera. like usual, he fashioned a carrying case for his gadget to fit on his belt loop.
when i went to pick him up, i told him that my camera had broken and that i was sorry that i didn't get a picture of him in the 'chemo recliner' but asked if he had his camera with him so we could ask a nurse to take a picture of us on our first day of battle.
well, he says to me 'oh, i got a picture of myself in the chair'.
apparently, this is a NEW treatment room and they have not installed the TVs yet. although we were ready for him to start drugs today, we weren't necessarily prepared with time passing elements. most of the day he was alone in the room, just sitting there...drip - drip - drip so, what did he do?....got up and set the camera on a table and took a picture of himself!!
i am still laughing as i'm sitting here!! He is laughing also..so don't accuse me of being mean...he did what he had to do to pass the time.
so - here he is...

Yep let him do what ever he feels like. rest is important, but we all know d doesnot have a problem sleeping where ever. he sounded good on the phone earlier. s as usual you were out and about.can i get Miss K a fisher price "sing along stage" it is so cute. hope you let me.....Love auntie m

he is doing pretty good.
just took his sleeping drugs...so i expect he'll be out in a few.
my pot roast was a Flop...they had to get pizza....not enough time in the crock...
