mini lu and co help with laundry
sunday is usually an all day love affair with the washer and dryer for me.
this week it dragged into today.
i know i'm not the only one that washes and dries and folds 10 loads each week...
but...do you think i should change my name to Kathy-Lee since i've enlisted the help of the wee one's. ha ha..
laundry can be therapeutic...i know there is a book out there called 'God, meet me in the laundry room' or something like that.
i know for my friend EB....laundry was yoga class... she sat on the floor cross legged in front of the dryer and folded on the dining room floor....(yes...i remember seeing you do this EB)
i've had appliance envy of my aunt m who has the whole front loading deal going on. and the dyer with that special rack for shoes...gee, when you have that rack..do you wash your sneakers more often?
my old neighbor hangs her jeans and sheets out to dry. it was cool to look over the fence at her sheets...she insisted that they smelled so much better.
my mother used to hang clothes out to dry...(i don't think we had a dryer) did we nana????
my Gram God Rest her Soul had her washer up on a concrete block...that was weird to me and then even more so that her washer was to the right of the dryer...i don't think she was left handed...
does anyone else have their washer to the RIGHT of the dyer....
there is just something not right about that.
they aren't even in that order at Lowes.
my grandfather must have installed them...ha ha...God rest his soul as well :)
oh, and then there is more appliance envy with MGR who has Two Washers and Two Dryers....oh boy, i've always wanted two dryers...seems like things would just go quicker...
Rsy does a load a day...that takes commitment!!
ok, and i've got to ask..
how many of you have washed the SAME load more than twice to get the stink out since you didn't get the clothes into the dryer in time????? haha..i think that is like a mom secret that we don't share with one another...like a shameful 'oh i'm a bad wife' thing or something...
ok, another mom secret...
how many of you pocket the money you find in the dryer??? do you do something different with it depending on how much it is? Today i found a twenty dollar bill. now i know nana and papa slipped the girls the bills b4 they left. but, how do i know exactly who's it is. so, after a minute of deliberation..i just put it in the coffee can/vacation savings can. someone will either say to me...i've lost the money or they won't and we'll be up twenty bucks...
man, i'm feeling like some crazy comedian..so i'm going to sign off now..
feel free to comment on the whole laundry thing...share some more mom/laundry secrets...

I would LOVE to have a new washer and dryer - ours are the first ones we had at the old apt. and they just keep going and going...with J's help.
We keep a mason jar in the laundry room for money and small toys that go through the washer. Usually the money goes to the ice cream man in the summer.
Glad D is feeling better and able to work!
Good Morning My B Team:
Looks like you have plenty of wash day help...One sorting it and one putting it back into the basket. You're right we didn't have a dryer or a washer. Did the weekly laundromat visits. Yuk. Ya know...I never thought about the appliance placement before...but our dryer is to the left of the washer. Really enjoyed the video. Thanks. Oh...I'm sure the "lost" $20 will be spoken for soon. I love and miss you all terribly - and we've only been gone one day. nana
Laundry...only ten a week? Are you sure you are counting correctly? You have the same number of people,6, and I only do laundry for 5, Jordin does her own, and I did 9 loads yesterday and that was just from 3 days!
The rewashing thing....gosh, at least once a day I do that...the load that goes in at bedtime, if forgotten, stinks by morning...worst experience...had to wash the same load five times before I remembered to put it in the dryer. Oppps.
Finder's keepers as they say...we keep a jar too, I end up giving it to the kids to pay for mission dress down days when they have no money of their own. I figure it is/was theirs to begins with.
Hat is coming along despite Matthews interest in tying up his toy tractor with the yarn...e
Laundry, yea I think we have all left wet clothes in the washer a time or two or three or four,It becomes almost impossible to get that smell out exspecially in the summer time. Glad to hear someone will be with you guys for Ds next chemo.I am so happy that D is doing ok and not getting sick from the chemo. One of the kids will claim the money I am sure
WW
a hefty splash of white vinegar in the wash cycle and fabric softener during rinse will help get that nasty smell out! Yes, I forget my laundry in the washer too! My mother taught me that if we left anything in the pockets it became hers. I have followed in her footsteps! love and miss you!
