nana and papa got into town in time to get mommy some fish from captn' d's...which is even better than McD's. then went to pick up the big girls. we put daddy to bed as soon as he was home from the hospital so he would nap b4 it was time to leave for the dance. picked up wrist corsages for girls and veggie pizza for dinner.
ate and then got everyone ready to go. i have to tell a funny story...
V came down in jeans thinking that is what she was going to wear to the dance....i let her know that she needed to change and put pants or a skirt on (i wanted a skirt - but also didn't want a huge fight in front of my parents) well, she went up to her room and announced that she was not going to the dance...that 'everyone is wearing jeans ' ' mom, me and becca are always the ONLY ONES that are dressed 'appropriately' (oh, can you hear the slurrrrrrrrr as she said 'appropriately'' we always look out of place and too dressed up!!!!'...
i just said to her to in a quiet voice (good mommy) put pants on and come downstairs when you're done'...
She did...
it blew over....
my mom LOVED it....
i could tell!!!!
Nana and i then took the wee ones to Aldi (this was nana's first experience at aldi)
came home and waited for the dancers.
Saturday was run around day like normal -> swim team, science class, went out for mexican dinner at a local restaurant.
Sunday was Mass and shooting (will talk about this more in a future post)
Sunday night (late late) R and I went to see Spiderwick Chronicals...she had recently finished reading the series so as reward we went on 'a date'.
Today..mom and bert left...boo hoo
laundry laundry laundry...
daddy is feeling much better and has just left to wander around Gander Mountain with mr. K. (he has a gift card from Christmas that he is itchin' to burn)
I love love long weekends...they make friday come so quick!!

Glad to hear you have teenage girl troubles as well! LOL!
It sounds like you had a great time over the long weekend!
AB has regionals this weekend and she will be out of school Friday.
SC is swimming for a State title in swimming this weekend.
Does V have a swim championship coming up soon?

Oh my gosh I thought I was looking at my Matthew, looking at Koen. I can't get over hom much he looks like him at the age. glad your weekend was good and doug is doing good. love to all aunt m
