its 10 o'clock..do you know where your beer is?

Mine is right here next to me...we have had a wonderful wonderful evening. Tonight was the much anticipated fund raiser at the girls school. It was dinner and auction , both silent and live. Beer and wine were FREE, just my price...ol' short arms herself!
no really. it was great. they served BBQ from this BBQ place that recently I discovered...i have been jonesen for City BBQ..this place doesn't serve it hot...you have to take it home and heat everything up (which is a bummer really) but oh boy...the pulled pork and rib slabs were fantastic.
the silent auction items ranged from pizza and a movie with a teacher to a Columbia Backpack/POPTarts and KungFu Lessons.(this is what we got - I've wanted to take Mr. K to 'grasshopper' lessons so it was the perfect thing. and then..I love love Columbia gear..(not that i'm a big outdoor sports chic or something..but i like their sweaters/chinos)
also wound up buying a bag of popcorn for twenty bucks (i was 'forced' by Doctor K ha ha) that had a number in it.
when you took the number to the BANK they gave you an envelope with your number on it. Inside your envelope is your prize. We won an oil change from the local Dodge dealer. When we first opened the envelope i saw the Dodge Dealership Logo..and yeah...i for a split second thought oh my LORD...we've won a new car...(try and think bob barker here) Hubby was happy with the oil change - he says the cars are due. does an oil change cost twenty bucks???
We hung out with good friend Brandy and her hubby and Fr.Jerry..and then spent some MAYTAG time with new friend JK.
We also saw our wonderful Dr. Sykora....what a lady!! seems she supports the parish and she and her husband were there to enjoy some fun! We love her!! and we had a chance to tell her all about our trip to Vandy. she was pleased.

we had a really nice night!!
felt a little more plugged in...i like that.

Sounds like a wayyyyy overdue fun evening out. Coupled with good food, friends and adult beverages -not to mention lots of nice goodies, a nite to remember for sure.

Hope your weather has calmed down. Heard Nashville was getting hit kinda hard - tornados and all.

We're finally tackleing the closets. Did I ever wear those sizes??? How depressing!!!!

To the B Team and all their Stalkers - wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Miss R is talking about the standardize testing for the school takes place the next two weeks. the children are encouraged to eat a good breakfast and then bring snacks and juice for the afternoon Jolt! Our auction item had poptarts as part of the package 'for mornings on the go'..when i brought them home i told the kids they could eat them in the car on the way to school.
