MRI-hot pepper relish-earthquake

Today we met with Dr. Smith to go over the results of a MRI that doug had this week. The MRI confirmed the mets that appeared on the PET. We weren't really expecting anything different. but i guess. it is what it is.!
the folks at Vanderbilt had asked for a MRI to be done NOW for a baseline for future meetings.
We took Dr. Smith a jar of hot pepper relish. when we started meeting with him, he and doug shared their common love of hot hot peppers. I happened to find a jar at the BBQ i talked about a couple posts ago.

any hoo....doug will begin taking the Avastin in three week increments (this is a drug that he has already had in his chemo cocktail and can tolerate). that begins next week. and then from there, another PET at the end of June.

Dr. Smith shared that he was 'proud of us' for taking the advice of the docs at Vanderbilt. He expressed concern that we were going to go down and do the Lance Armstrong kind of thing...he feels that what we are doing now and the way that we are enjoying our everyday life is the BEST thing for people our age! So, it was good for us to know that he felt that way.

We are now waiting on Grandpa B and Uncle Andy to arrive.
I have Beef STrogonoff in the crock.

oh yeah,,i almost forgot ...we felt the effects of the Earthquake in full bloom last night. at 4:38 our bed began to shake back and forth and the sand art on doug's dresser began to rattle as well as other glass wear. It woke me right up...it was strange...very strange....i knew what was happening...and it just went on a little bit longer than i thought it would. there was a rumble to go along with it.
WOW...no one else heard/felt it in the house.

This morning at our Rosary circle there was an aftershock as well.
i have to chalk this up to another life experience!!
