Praise God, the machine has been fixed and hubby will begin daily radiation this wed at 2:30.
We fully expect the radiation to have a positive impact on pain management and his ability to breath. Vanderbilt had suggested a regimen of Oxycontin rather than the Hydro. it is supposed to be longer lasting.
Not so far. This weekend saw no relief for his pain. He did manage short bursts of energy early in the afternoons and spent some time with Mr. K on saturday and then on Sunday he and R went to see Hell Boy. (they love love that genre)
Happily we accepted meals from friends while i worked. got some Honey Baked Ham and Oven Fried Chicken!!! oh boy...i'll get that recipe..the chicken was out of this world....Promise to make it for you all when i get home!!
My boss here says that i should have no problem transferring to a Macy's at home. As long as i work w/i 30 days i'll retain my PTO bucket!! isn't that great!!!
Our V is back from camp and we are all happy to have her home with us! i think she got taller while she was gone....now we can concentrate on getting ready to come home.
i completed an inventory for the movers over the weekend..so i need to get that to them.
Uncle Pete will hopefully be able to get into the house and measure for paint/carpet in the family room and then flooring in the upstairs bathroom...
now that THAT bathroom will be on public display (seeing as i'm putting a guest room in) i must do something about it. When we purchased the house...we knew much needed done...and we did get some big things done...roof/siding/pulled the shrubs out and fenced the backyard...
but THAT bathroom...the original linoleum had been pieced parted to the floor and now it has kind of become ONE with the subfloor...i do find it fascinating what the woman b4 had done as far as decorating goes...what was in style. i think sometimes that colors for homes and materials come in and out of fashion just like clothes. HOWEVER..I do think that Harvest Gold and that Pus color has been permanently banned from any home!! Oh yeah, and that shiny copper pot collections...i hope those don't come back...I swear when i was little my mother had a copper mine of pots and pans hanging from hooks around the kitchen...i always found that fascinating since this is the same woman that can burn water!! (or salt a ham as my father would remind us)
speaking of Mom...Maman Aniversary Heureuse et Papa (how do you like that winelover tee hee) How many years is it now???? I love you both!!
going to sign off...love and kisses to tall!
Go Emo...Good luck at Championships!!!!!
