duhhhhhhhh

I have had my to do list running in my head...instead of on paper...(Ben Franklin would not be pleased)...and in doing so almost forgot one of the most important things i needed to do....ORDER UTILITIES AT THE HOUSE!! DUHHHHHH WHAT A DOH DOH. I heard from Papa that my pilot light was out in the oven...and i had this brief fit of panic like...'oh crap....i didn't call the gas company to tell them to leave it on'....of course i didn't admit that to him..i just asked if the stove was working...and since it was..that panic went away..but it sure did motivate me!!
so, today i got on line and looked up all the numbers that i needed to call. I picked Mr. K up from his school and then headed right over to the big girls school (a full 45 minutes early) so that the wee ones and i could sit on the play ground and i could make my calls....i had attempted to make those calls EARLIER....but SOMEONE -BS called and distracted me!!! tee hee...
eazy-peazy...got the water and gas taken care of...couldn't get anyone at the electric company to answer so i'll try them again tomorrow.
haven't decided on my voice/data/cable provider yet.
i want to do a wireless gig in the house so that hubby can use a laptop in bed or where ever he wants to roam...Ryan T...R U Out there??? will need you man...next week sometime to help me get a router configured..KO??? email me please.

(i know my folks are lovin' this lingo i'm using...my father had to tease me this evening about my spelling of the word kewl....)...i just consider it the evolution of the shorthand that we girls were forced to take in NY. At the all girls school in NY that i went to (Franciscan Polish Nuns in FULL habits) we were required to master typing and shorthand...to this day i love love steno pads!! and i'm pretty good at typing..i get a kick out of telling kids about those long ago days when in order to Center a word/sentence on a page..you had to add up the total number of letters and then do some obnoxious math problem in order to know how many times you had to pound the backspace button!! that training served me well..in college i'd type for six packs of beer!! (and thank the good Lord for spell check!!)

eh hum....this is about when i loose my daughter from too many words..

today i also spoke again to the OSU coordinating nurse and we are real close to having all of hubby's records in order and ready for Dr. Vilanlano to review in time for our apt. next week!! i tell you it is tons and tons of paper....i've done my best to have our own copies of reports and my stack of CD's grows each week, i even went to the office supply store to buy my own binder to keep all the stuff in..and you ought to see my medical receipts box...

speaking of CD's..found and played my KC and Sunshine Band CD the other day....Lu and i danced to 'Babe...I love you so oh oh oh....and i want you to know.......' so sweet , just the two of us amongst the boxes and she just fits so perfectly in my arms right now...
I have two distinct memories of KC...the first are disappointing memories of the 'slow skate' at USA skating rink and boys never asking me to slow skate with them....even when i had my Jordache jeans on - i secretly think it was the fact that i refused to put a bandanna in my back pocket...all the 'it' girls had them hanging out...i just never did that...nor did i have those huge pom pom's on my skates...hmmmm.....my second memory is the time I took V to see them Live at Polaris with friend Amy and her daughter....we had fabulous seats and had a fabulous time....that ol' guy could still shake it.big and sweaty...but boogied on down anyways....

hubby had an alright day. was up and down trying to get comfortable..poor guy just couldn't find the right spot...he woke up with a stiff neck...and you all know how that just wrecks your day.......i went to Aldi today and bought all kinds of high calorie items for him. Cottage cheese, vienna sausages (he loves these), some canned chicken stuff and some stew!! i'm talking...MAJOR calories...i've got to get him beefed back up....cuz i keep telling him that the Honey Do list still exists for the house back home....i'll accept first floor work only...but...alas...he'll be home all day and well, he'll need something to keep him busy...plus i know i'm due for a tool lesson anyway....i know that it will be important that i learn how to use the 'star' and 'flat head' screw drivers...as a matter of fact...hubby bought me my very own little 'kit' the other day. It is all self contained so i can't loose the different styles of pokey thing-ings. I'm a bit scared of the drill and the rest of the crazy things he's got out there in the garage...but..i know in the long run it will benefit me to know how to use tools and how to fix some general items... heck,,,,i just might get all HGTV on myself and remodel a room....

oh, gotta tell you this memory that hubby and i share.....at our first house on james...we decided to remodel the upstairs bathroom. hubby designed and built this lovely wooden slatted surround for the tub and then decided to tile the top. I decided that i should help..so out in the driveway the two of us began to tile and grout an area the size of a large pizza box...Oh Good Lord.....we argued over about which way to drag the mud..which way to hold the stupid floater thing....for about a half hour...i kid you not...and then we laughed so hard i peed my pants....we decided that some day we would have our own TV show called ..The Cranky Workshop....

well, i'm sure that i've board you plenty tonight...so i'll sign off.
Oh i need to let you all know that i will NOT be preparing my famous pork and sauerkraut tomorrow for Fr. Jerry. we will instead be going out to eat...(i think my friend Julie is afraid of my sauerkraut...) actually, i look forward to going out..it has been a while since hubby and i have gone out to eat...and we are sure to enjoy the company!!

nitey nite..
yes..of course we've been watching the swimming....can i just comment how sad it is that there is a level of disappointment when one our team gets something less than gold,, you can see it in their faces and hear it in some of the commentators voices??? what is UP with that....

Hi B Team!

Whatever you do, DO NOT GET ROADRUNNER!

I can not open my email again!

Yes! Silver was such a disappointment for the USA Gymnastics Team. Well, they were going against "younger women" says Bella!

Katie Hoff is having "off" games. Remember S. Nye SAYS it is not who swims the fastest it is who touches first!

Can't use spell check so I am using words that I can spell and they are wrong too!

Can you believe even Michael gets water in his goggles?

In my next life I want to be Debbie Phelps! Gosh, maybe one of his sisters. He is so good to them!

Did I mention DO NOT GET TIME WARNER? They also do not get the Big 10 network!

Buckeye Crunch should be in the stores soon since The Bucks first game is August 30th. Go Bucks!

See you soon!

Keeping the B Team in our prayers,

MB

You have to do a poll on how old do you think the Chinese Women's (girls)gymnastics team are on average! I think 13!

I have been catching up on your blog. I had arthoscopy knee surgery on FRiday on both my knees. So now I don't have a good leg to stand on. ha ha.
We have moved about 14 times around Ontario with 3 children, so I know what you are going through. You can forget to do some of the strangest things. LISTS are the only way. I also keep a list of magazines etc. we receive and tick off each month when we get them to make sure none get lost in the move.
We have wireless in our house and my hubby left his lap top so I can lay on the couch and be on the net, it is soooo handy. I want my own lap top instead of my desk top.
Keeping you all in my prayers. And cheering for the swim teams, my son in law tried out for the Canadian swim team last olympics but didn't make it. He had peaked the week before trials. :(
We are all enjoying Michael win and break the records. A lot of the teams are doing record times.
In God's love
