being in the south, it was none to easy to find other girls that were into my show Sex and the City. there were a few times when i was talking to women about getting together for a martini party and going to the movie where i really thought i had grown a third eye!!! i got those blank stares....not that i'm a stranger to those....i know that i suffer from foot in mouth disease...but....it really did surprise me how conservative it was here.
the Lord sent to girls to my rescue...two girls that showed me the town and let me glom onto their pools this summer.!! these are also two of the girls that joined me for the Sex in the City night out!!
we had to have a last night out....and we did it in style...
dinner at a restaurant that i had been wanting to get to since we moved here...the 440.
it kind of reminds me of The Top with a more fashionable decorator and maybe a few windows!! :) the restaurant was everything i expected it to be!! lovely wait staff and quiet atmosphere and a fabulous menu!!! it was hard to decide on what i wanted but i settled for Brie stuffed Free Range Chicken and i was NOT disappointed!! OMGSh...i love brie cheese..me and my Gram loved it with sliced apples...i also liked it on a croissant and beansprouts with some grey poupon....anyway....
i had a lovely glass of wine and the girls had Grey Goose...as MY OWN bottle chilled in the car outside!! YEP,,,EMO girls...4get the beer...i'm coming home with the GOOD stuff!!
i felt like it was my birthday when the waiter brought this piece of cake out to me!! fabulous just like the rest of the meal...oh, i forgot to tell you about the fried green tomatoes!!! i've got to learn how to make those!! yum yum!!
from here we went to a bar with a TV so that i could see Aaron swim his backstroke...i missed him...but instead had a wonderful wonderful evening with two new friends for life!!
so, i think that i've done all my goodbyin'..i'm off to get Rose from the airport and the final leg will begin!!
BG...you have been so very very good to us!! Please Please come north so I have a chance to be good to you!!

I wish you luck with you move. I will miss your blog, I know you will have to shut things down soon as you move. I look forward to hearing from you once you have moved and settled in.
I wish I could meet you sometime because we have a lot in common.
May be one day I will go on a road trip south of the border to meet you all.
