greetings from our bed...

i've not had the guts to ask hubby if i can use his laptop in our room to type on the blog. he had to sacrafice his desktop for two years and when we got home, going to look for a laptop and setting up a wireless network was top priorty. (especially b/c all the other priorities were covered!!:):) THANK YOU AGAIN
tonight, after work - no, i didn't open any new accounts....but did spend some time learning the young men's labels. i've never really noticed the Urban lables....my little boy isn't there yet..i did get a kick out of seeing Applebottom jeans...i have heard our daughters sing a song about them...but i'd never seen them....take that back....i DID see my Oprah wear a pair sevral years ago on her favorite show...
well, Ms. V is out babysitting (to earn cash-o-la to earn airfare) and Lu is down for the night...hubby and mr. k watched walley down in our family room and Peach and I watched the Stand Up To Cancer program and we'll be downloading the songs from itunes. now, hubby is on the couch on his heating pad...peach and i are watching AFV and trying to get mr. k to go to bed.
sitting here with the laptop brings back memories from my corporate days. i can remember sitting in hotel rooms late at night typing emails and decifering spreadsheets..gee, all i'm missing is room service and long distance charges for calls back home. that is funny, speaking of those corporate days....i tried on a pair of shoes today that were just like the shoes i wore way back when. high heel loafers. i think Bass should make them...or even LL Bean..i had a pair in blue and brown and loved them. they went with all of my suits whether they were skirted or pants. on my break i eyeballed a pair by Micheal Kors in a patent leather. bummer that they didn't have my size...or perhaps a good thing...but now that i know they are 'back' in style i'll be heading out to find another pair...Yeah Me!!

as hubby was relaxing this evening i asked him if he enjoyed his quite time while i was at work and the wee ones down the street..and do you know what he said ????
he said 'i missed you guys'
so so sweet!!!!!

he is doing pretty good with this chemo round. no vomiting or neuropathy so far. and so far he hasn't turned yellow yet. this is a side effect of the sunitnib pill.
he is feeling fatigued but with the change in pain meds he has a quicker way to respond to the break thru pain.
