i'll take a pause

ok, so i will graciously opt out of giving you all my opinion on the debate (debacle) last night. i just feel badly for Cyndy...lets face it at the end of the day..she's the one that has to deal with it all!!!

just home from OSU...(actually did quick run through CVS for some Narcs and then through Taco Bell..as my hubby was feelin' the need for a burrito supreme. (his favorite)he's two for two...yesterday he got his KFC fix (kisses to Ally for this one)

hubby's procedure was a success...they drained over a liter of fluid from his lung and is feeling the benefits all ready. he says he can feel himself take in more air!! Praise God!!! they did not 'drain him dry' as there is conflicting evidence that this actually promotes fluid build up....after the drain...they did a quick Xray of the lung to be sure all was well..and got the AOK!

the ladies were swell despite my wee little fit when it was just taking too long to get him back in the procedure room...meanwhile the guy hadn't eaten since midnight!! (no, it wasn't another Shirly McClain moment...i was firm however) they agreed to give him some OJ once they cleared it with the powers that be!! the lab has actually screwed up and not sent his actual fluids when dispatched for results.....hurumph....so he was almost an hour longer than needed.

i did get a little pep talk from Dear Peggy Mac on the ins and outs of getting what you want out of the medical establishment!! she is SO good at that!! heck, she's good at getting a lot out of a little isn't she??? i know i'll get some shout outs for that one!! can i get an Amen?? !! :)

and since we're on our friend...heartfelt prayers are offered up for Peg's mom=Nana who has gone to live with the angles...I am sure that the funeral mass today will be most beautiful as will nana be in her OSU gear!! and for those left behind...i gave Peg and her niece (?) full permission to come to my house to have a good 'pissing off session'!! we are allowed to get angry you know!!! we are also required to 'get over it'...but we are allowed a moment or two of melt down occasionally!

already talked to hubby's doc and he will mostly likely get called back for another CT and then continue chemo next week!! in the meantime he continues to take the daily trial med!

it is our first real Fall day today...and lucky for me papa sent a new fall jacket for me last night!! i am now a 'cool young mom' as the sales lady at Dicks told him!! since i had to put my white jeans away...i guess he felt i needed something to maintain my coolness!! tee hee!!

this coming weekend will be busy...
family camp out at school friday
oktoberfest at church on saturday
and the return of Jesus Jams on sunday!!

i'm going to go put Lu down now and perhaps snooze off while daddy and his boy watch a movie!!
