one of the great things about living up north and one thing that we really did miss when we were down south was the Fall season. The trees turned their beautiful shades of yellow/orange and red and now the trees are ready to hibernate and are shedding their leaves.
just in time for Ms.R decided to rake leaves to earn money for The Christ Child Society.
the neighborhood boys stopped by to invite V to their weekly homework meeting at Panera Bread. very sweet....they are good boys...took their time to play with both of the wee ones...

not today...but over the weekend i decided that i would attempt to make applesauce. when three people mention something specific ...you just gotta give it some brain time...so ...i did. pretty easy but time consuming...left me thinking THIS is why people buy those funky looking apple peelers. one of those three ladies said that i could choose how mashed up i wanted the apples to be. another lady had mentioned that she heats her applesauce up and puts it over ice cream. once the apples started cooking down...and i started mashing them up i decided that i liked the idea of hot apples over ice cream but wasn't sure about MASHED apples over the ice cream...so i left quite a few wedges in tact. i added cinnamon, brown sugar and white sugar and just kept poking at it until i liked it. let it all sit for a day. next night for dinner, baked up a quick sleeve of biscuits, put one biscuit in a bowl, one scoop of vanilla ice cream, heated up applesauce and added some dried cherries!! YUM YUM..i wish i would have thought to take a picture..sorry....
