last week our family night was pretty intense, so it was in our best interest to have a more relaxed night.
a PF Chang gift card had been burnin' a hole in my pocket so i decided what the heck,,,,i'll gather the masses and we'll go out to a nice dinner... .you know as well as i do that reeellly the ONLY place to NOT be neurotic about your little kids behavior is at Bob Evans...so i will admit to being hesitant about going 'there' but ...i figure...this is MY team...and this is OUR night...and well, we're going to go out and do our very best!!

and we did just that. Mr. K didn't eat much except for rice, broccoli and ice cream. Lu ate the same and then the girls and i enjoyed Hot Fish, Sweet n Sour chicken and ginger chicken on snow peas. I did have to take Mr K asside twice befor he kind of got with the program and then of course Lu sits in a highchair with straps...i had to giggle to myself when we were leaving though....the floor was TRAGIC (my new word...can you tell) it sure looked as if we are at Bob's...but with a tile floor.

we got home, got into our jammies and met in the family room to go over calenders. That didn't take too long and we settled in to watch a recent 'rental' from aunt mary's. V chose this evenings flick 'Step Up 2'. it is this generations version of our Fame...and pretty kewl.... i didn't share with my daughters that the notion of break dancing was well b4 their time....heck, i can remember kids break dancing in the cafeteria in school in NY. i actually really liked it...the music is pretty good and when the credits were rolling..we were all up and boogieing...

that song is the best cleaning song!! - I discovered it on Mason's iPod over the summer. I stick it on repeat for about a half hour before I can move on to another song :)
I'll have to check that movie out for the kids.
