ok, anyone watch that Apocalypse movie last night? Lu and i started it together, and by the time it was over.mr k and R were home from night out with uncle rick (thank you uncle for your continued devotion!) and V home from her Appalachia service unit meeting..by the time it was over poor mr. k was sound asleep on the floor....so cute....

i guess i should dial back...it was teh big birthday weekend for ms. v....she's 14 now...gulp....aunt mary hosted a lovely cook out...Thank You Aunt Mary....she and uncle john set up what looked like a playground/activity center for the wee ones which was extra special....ms. v made out with the mother load of itunes gift cards...we had grillin' food and ice cream cake...yummy...ms. lu liked the cake as you can see....



sunday found us at my apartment (my nickname for the pool) took forever for the sun to come out...but out it came and we enjoyed a couple hours of vitamin D absorption.

well, this week will be abbreviated due to a long awaited trip to Chicago....our girl scout troop is going on our first out of state trip for a long weekend. this is the first of what i think needs to be three prior to taking them to Europe their senior of highschool. we leave thursday bright and early...

...of course not too early for Ben the Trainer to say...why don't you come in at 6...that way you'll be done with the day's workout...

we have a full itinerary....Mary Poppins, Mystic Blue Dinner Cruise, Shedd Aquarium and then my favorite ...dinner at Ruth Chris and the Channel Store on Michigan...speaking of...i've only been to three Channel Stores...NYC, Paris, and Hawaii..guess now that i look at it that way i have to go... Chicago isn't an unkown city for me...(not that i'm in any way a native) traveled there for a Pre-Law convention in college (look at those boots and fake Gucci:)) years later found myself in Chicago all the time for work...

anyway, we pulled all the girls together last week to review packing and behavior rules...they are a good group of little ladies so i know we won't have any trouble...Nanny A typed out an entire itinerary for me...she has a full 'stay cation' planned for the three sibs. they are doing the zoo and having a camp out on saturday night...how great is that>>>> She is just the best...she is great with all the kids....hm...i'll have to get her a Mary Poppins tshirt at the play...

also this week is first swim meet...R has been practicing regularly and Ms. V has only been able to make practice twice due to summer gym....

today...i get my pilot back...Yeah me....i have missed her much...

ok, i think i'll go...i'm obviously having an 80's morning....:
