nana update

nana made it thru her first night with her new knees.
she is being quite the trooper.
pain meds are working well enough that she drifts in and out which is actually kind of funny to watch....
think of it....

my mother...speechless???? hm..

of course, when the PT lady and nurse were making her walk yesterday afternoon...my mother got really snappy at them and used a tone that i thought was ONLY reserved for me....

i told them i hadn't heard that tone of voice since i was a teenager....

she may be going to rehab on friday - we'll see how she does the next day.

papa is hanging in there...she doesn't want to be alone in the hospital so she asks him to stay....although he did go home to sleep and shower...he was back in time to see the doctor for rounds...

we are off for a swim meet this evening so i wont' be able to go back up tonight...
but will get the update from Bert and post in the AM.
