gu to you!!!

ran 8 good golly miles this morning....
today we were offered an 'athletic' tool to try
it is called GU....we had other things called Blocks and Beans as well.

we also had two official water stops and a super duper surprise water at mile 7!!
i heard one lady call it a mirage IT was that beautiful!!

so i knew we would get these cool little energy replacement things this morning and i was actually excited to try them....

i feel very 'trainee' talking about them...hell, you'd think i was like a real athlete or something...very funny to me....and i'm sure many many of my old time friends!!

anyway,,, i chose to try the Chocolate flavor...
it was great!
it tasted like chocolate fudge syrup for ice cream....
i also saw that there is a strawberry banana flavor one...

this running gig is getting better all the time!!!!

You are really inspiring me, missy. Your confidence. Your bravado. Your staying so active and into all kinds of interesting events....spending quality time with your children...And your RUNNING. I ran when I was single; it was the best time of my life. (Next to meeting G.) I ran in the 1989 Cols. Marathon and did part of TOSRV (bike tour.) I was also in the best shape of my life. Hurt my knee in the Marathon, and it became painful to run. (I actually "hit the wall" at 10 miles and WALKED/JOGGED the rest. I was THE LAST official finisher of the day; it's true!) I did one last 10K (Cols. Dispatch Early Bird Run DT), and then had to give it up. Then the pounds came on (and on!) But when I saw you in Church this morning, and saw you in your sweaty tee shirt, (obviously from coming right off a run) and not being afraid to just be yourself, it really gave me new hope and inspiration. I hope it lasts! You looked so at peace this morning. You looked "Higher Powered". Thanks girl for the lift!
AND WHERE DO YOU GET THIS "GU"? Is it expensive? What benefits do they tout? It could be a possibilty for me....God bless...See you at da pool or at school soon....
