Homecoming Beauties

another big First yesterday!
the first Highschool Dance for ms. V.
she had shopped with Pop's for her dress and shoes when she and ms. R were in NJ so we knew months ago what she would wear. THANKS POPS!!

so it was a matter of waiting until.......

she and her 'gang of friends' gathered at one girls house THANKS CK!! for a sit down supper - prepared and served by a gaggle of mom's. They sat at tables with table cloths and nice service....one of the 'dates' brought each girl a long stemmed rose!!! how darling was that????!!!!!!!!

after supper they headed to the dance where they took their shoes off and boogied down. the only part of 'my speech' that came 'true' was the Grinding on the dance floor. yes,,,i said GRINDING>>>>> ya know..MTV stuff...yeah...nice eh?? GROSS.... the alcohol and drugs didn't make an obvious appearance...phew wee...

after the dance they headed over to Mac's house for a fire roast and then home.

She walked in a little after 12:30...THANKS MGR for dropping her off and then the two of us snuggled in my bed and talked till 2am! woke up at 5:30 hearing her breathing soundly asleep next to me...
made me smile....
been a long
long
long time since that daughter has spent the night in my bed!!!!
of course...in just a few hours she was replaced by the wee ones!
but..
hey...
you take it while you can...

I'm very proud of all these kids...
we are so very blessed to be part of a community that 'gets'r done and watches out for one another and of course shares similar values and HOUSE RULES!!

so...here is the class of 2013 headed out for their first highschool dance!!
