Thank You Veterans

The day after Douglas' first chemo treatment was Veterans Day. He had been planning on taking koen to the Veterans Day Parade all week and i knew he wouldn't miss it...and indeed he didn't. Here they are sitting on a statue in downtown Bowling Green. I remember how Douglas spent a lot of time talking about the guns that the soldiers were carrying...he was so happy to be able to play with his own weaponry while we lived in KY...The right to bear arms was in important one to him.

Having fought in a war i think was important to him as well as his military service in general.
This week (i'm pretty sure) Douglas' US Navy Marker was set at the cemetery...i look forward to seeing it!

Thanks to all men and women/ sons and daughters/ husbands and wives that have served our country.

AMEN!!!! Great picture. Thanks.

I work in a small office (25 people) and three gals just sent their sons off (all just graduated from high school in June). Navy, Army and Marines. Please pray for them and all the service folks wherever them may be.
