Its 8m and we're in the OR

i'm so happy happy to report that hubby has just been wheeled into the OR for the broncoscopy (gonna just check and see if there is any progression there - not expecting ay thought) then go down and pull some fluid and send it for labs and then drain the lung and close the space between the pluera and the lung. ALL GOOD STUFF!!

i'm so glad the thoracic team here came and evaluated him and decided to take him right away rather than waiting till morning rounds. i consider it a real blessing...in a few short hours my hubby should be able to come off the face mask and get back on the little nose oxygen tubes. that mask..although effective....has been pretty restraining today and as luck would have it the fact that hubby had refused his meals today they had no issue with anesthesia - all a win win...

so many folks jumped in to help today...thank you thank you!!

love love you ..wink wink!!

the nursing staff here found me a recliner to sleep in tonight...i'm totally fine with the exception of my little mr. K..who is very very upset that he hasn't seen me since bedtime last night. he has gotten clingy lately...and i feel terrible that katharine can never be sure if i'll be the one to put her down or get her up from her nap....

had a great cheeseburger from Champs..thanks uncle rick!! tasted great!

Rose..thank you for the offer to come right down....i'm reserving you for some time in the future....you are my reality check...and i love you!

is it selfish to want to be alone to wait???? is it selfish to want him all to myself.....????? these hospital visits and doctors appointments have given us time to be alone together. no diapers to change..no meals to prepare and no broken things around the place to fix. i just love it that we can sit...sit still together and talk if we want...or be quiet if we want and hold hands!! we can just BE in each others presence...i would tell him that i couldn't wait for the day when the two of us could grab the sunday morning paper and climb back into bed with our coffees and then trade sections back and forth for a couple hours...

i will post more in a bit. i'm told the surgery will take aprox 2 hours in total.
