oh my gosh...The Dave Matthews BAnd is like the Grateful Dead in Khaki pants and a polo. i love love love his voice....i'm thinking he just might be my next Phil Collins...and that...my dear readers has been an almost lifetime love affair....
snow day or not to snow day..
it has snowed here ALL day!! i'd swear at 4 o'clock this afternoon the kids were stalking the news stations to see if their school had been closed. ALREADY!!! i have to laugh...when it snows here it just makes me laugh....the folks here almost freak out!!! the free ways were at a stand still and we have less than 6 inches... you know....i learned to drive in Buffalo....i can recall a time when i was in my mustang on the New York Thru Way when the weather had gotten so bad that they just up and closed the Thru Way...i of course had no idea cuz i was jammin' to my Phil Collins cassett tapes...i just knew that i could not see a damn thing but was too afraid to stop for fear of getting rammed by a semi....so....la la la...just keep driving.
it is really beautiful tonight...i love the blanket feeling that comes wiht a big dump of snow. i'm feeling like i just might clean off the tub and get in....it is the coolest thing to get in that hot tub when all around you is snow....very kewl!!!
i was happy to finally be able to get out these really cool puzzles...mr. k is ready and able to work them now. they have really cool large piece puzzles. of course, that is an actity to do when Lu is otherwise occupied.
speaking of being occupied. i had told you all that i was ready to actively pursue help with the kids. tomorrow i am meeting with the director of the local nanny agency....i've completed a 'profile' so far....she will meet with all the kids and me. i have to laugh...'nanny'....it makes me think of Peter Pan and the dog...my girls think of 'joe' from nanny 911...hmmmm
oh, i also have to share that apparently half of the 8th grade class is 'totally grossed out' that their parents are all over facebook!!! i am LOVIN' IT!! the whole facebook wave has hit our 'hood'..
i don't think i have much more to say....Will and Grace is on....i flip flop between them and Fraiser....and then i stalk the PBS channel...

You should try Rob Thomas as another boyfriend. His idol is Phil Collins. He sings "Little Wonders" from Meet the Robinsons and a bunch of other great stuff. I'll throw his CD at you next time I see you.
