Thurber
This week i have been going to a writing camp at the Thurber house on Jefferson and i have had the best time ever. I even made some really great friends. The counselors give you a notebook to draw or write things in. At the end of each day we have a gathering called "open mic." It gives you a chance to say something you have been working on. I have done it twice. Each group had to come up with a name and ours is The Thurber Things. Others had The Green Ken Gangsters;Hey Dude, Were are the Awesomanators?; and The Funky Monkeys. I love camp! It is so much fun. I want to come back next time.

my peachy girl has a gift for writing and i'm so happy that she is enjoying this camp...what a wonderful Christmas gift indeed!! on friday i get to go early and listen to the final 'open mic' session....i hope i get to hear some of the monologue she's been working on...her subject is Rosa Parks.
